Orientation Programme II

for participants who want to get involved in the
computer aided work in Marathi Language using Devanagari script
On 9th Dec 2006, Saturday 2pm to 5pm.
Venue: Lecture Theatre, CDAC Mumbai, Gulmohar Cross Road no.9 Juhu, Mumbai 400049
Programme:1400hrs : 1410hrs Welcome by Shri. Zia Saquib, Executive Director
1410hrs : 1440hrs Introduction to the Tasks under various groups by
Dr. Alka Irani, Prof. R. K. Joshi, Ms. Priti Patil
1440hrs : 1530hrs Group Tasks
1530hrs : 1600hrs Tea Break
1600hrs : 1700hrs Hands on session
Objective:
To orient participants towards the following tasks oriented activities.
Group1: Word List-edit activity in Marathi - Ms. Priti Patil, Ms.Anal
Group2: Translation of Tech terms and text activity from English in Marathi - Dr. Alka Irani, Mr. Amit
Group3: Creative Content design and development activity in Marathi Language, using Devanagari Script
- Prof. R. K. Joshi, Ms. Jui, Ms. Supriya
Notes:
1) All participants are required to handle computer soft files and must have workable/operational knowledge of computers.
2) All participants are required to have their inputs through keyboard operation.
3) All participants are expected to complete the identified task in a stipulated time.
4) Further, task oriented Work Sessions will be held on weekdays at CDAC, Mumbai, AirIndia Bldg. 8th Floor office, and possibly on weekends at our CDAC Mumbai, Gulmohar Cross Road No.9, Juhu office.
5) After identifying the capability and willingness of participants in the orientation programme, the selected participants will attend the task oriented Work Sessions.
This will be done interactively by checking participant’s subject (Marathi) proficiency, work efficiency and commitment to timeframe.
