During the Paris Olympics 2024, one performance supposedly upset Christians all around the world because, according to them, a scene being performed on the tableau somewhat resembled the well-known Leonardo da Vinci painting “The Last Supper.” A scantily clad man painted blue began singing in the middle of the table and dancing queens began dancing around him.

This performance incensed traditionalists and Christian leaders worldwide, who exposed the Paris Olympics 2024 organizers for demeaning the faith and creating ‘a farce out of Christianity’. “The Last Supper,” but they stood by the idea behind it on Sunday. The scene in Da Vinci’s artwork is when Jesus Christ predicted that one of his apostles would betray him. A scene from Friday’s ceremony featured LGBTQ+ icon and DJ Barbara Butch surrounded by drag performers and dancers.

Denigration of any religious organization was never the goal. Conversely, Descamps stated, “I believe that we truly tried to celebrate community tolerance with Thomas Jolly”. Of course, we sincerely apologise to everyone we may have upset.
