was launched by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs as a central sector effort to give a lifeline to the numerous small venders that were in danger of closing or experiencing extreme financial hardship. Read further segments of the post to learn about the Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme 2024 and its eligibility, benefits, loan approval, application process etc.
PM SVANidhi Scheme 2024
Through the PM SVANidhi Scheme, eligible vendors can receive an initial loan of Rs 10,000 for one year without requiring security. This savvy strategy makes it easy for them to start a business right away and lays the groundwork for future expansion.
Vendors who actively return the loan within the allotted time frame are rewarded with the chance to borrow a larger amount, which progressively rises to Rs. 20,000 and finally Rs. 50,000.
This is an attractive and accessible option as the government provides a 7% interest subsidy on these loans to reduce the financial stress of street vendors across the country. The PM SVANidhi Scheme Portal has made it easier to apply for the program,
which has been extended until December 2024 in recognition of the ongoing need for support. This will help to ensure that street vendors have a clear and encouraging road to economic recovery.
